The rare light pink to rose coloured variety of the mineral Beryl, this newly discovered gem was first noted in 1904 and displays subtle pastel pinks. It is often heat treated to remove patches of yellow and to enhance its natural colour. Unlike other forms of beryl like Emerald, Morganite is relatively free of inclusions, although colour banding is common.
Morganite attunes to the heart, and is used to cleanse the emotional self of stress and anxiety, whilst promoting healing, love and contentment. It is the ideal stone for realising equality in all relationships and for allowing compassion and patience with all people. It is mostly used for mental healing, and it is said to be quite useful for those suffering from stress or stress-related physical manifestations.
Morganite is often used to create crystal balls, sometimes used to ‘see with the heart’.
