An exquisite collection of hallmarked sterling silver wildlife by artist Sophie Mackrell.
Her love of eastern and oriental art forms drew her to the ancient art of origami - the Japanese skill of folding paper to make recognisable forms. She wondered if this technique could be adapted to create shapes cast in precious metals.
Whilst experimenting, it became apparent that wildlife forms worked especially well, and using silver created these miniature designs inspired by the natural world around us.
Each piece sparkles and shines as the facets and folds dance in the light much like a beautifully cut precious stone. Highly collectable small silver figurines, the eye catching miniatures feel weighty for their small size.
Each sculpture is presented in a high quality designer cloth pouch and gift bag, and then boxed. Also includes collection booklet.

The item came the next day and was exactly as described. Very impressed with every part of the experience and wouldn't hesitate using/recommending Catherine Best. Thanks
Beautiful and elegant. I seem to be collecting them! Frogs are cute!
With Ivory being the acknowledged gift for a 14th Wedding Anniversary, the next best thing would be the Elephant itself ! So I went on line and put in Elephant sculptures and low and behold I hit upon Catherine Best. I ordered both the Elephant Sculpture and the Walking Elephant Sculpture, as one on its own would be lonely and it was not long before they arrived. Smaller than I had anticipated, but nonetheless very detailed and lovely and heavy. They were a perfect gift and now have pride of play on my wife's bedside table. Thank you Catherine Best for such service and such quality.
